The paintings on this page are small (5x5) color field paintings. I love doing these little inspirational paintings which are all about color. They are painted in soft pastel on handmade paper, either Larroque or Khadi, which gives them a lot of texture. Not much detail but a lot of color and texture. See below on the righthand side bar for matting and framing options. Paintings can be purchased on my website: Kathleen Daughan Fine Art
The landscape is my primary studio so long as the weather allows. When it doesn't I enjoy painting still life and memory pieces in my studio at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, Mass. I'm lucky enough to have opportunites to paint in northern California in addition to my work in Maine and New Hampshire. I work in oil, watercolor, acrylic and pastel depending. I am also a paper maker and sometimes work with paper pulp as a medium. I am a member of Plein Air Painters of Maine and N.H. Plein Air Painters.
